Gite cottage
in Southern Brittany France.. This gite cottage in St Perreux near Redon Brittany
France is set in a beautiful woodland garden of approximately
3/4 of an acre. The single storey cottage offers a get
away from all your stress, just come relax and chill
out.
Take a stroll down to the river Ouest or walk through
the woodlands behind the cottage, then perhaps a dip
in the small pool to cool off. The garden is safe for
children as it is enclosed all round with a hedge they
can have great fun playing hide and seek among the trees.
Lots to do.. Enough of relaxing? Then there is lots to do.
For shopping the historic port & market town of
Redon is just 5km away, a very good outdoor market every
Monday, there is also an excellent rail service from
here should you want to rest from driving.
Boat Hire from canoes, kayaks, electric boats
to 12 person river cruisers complete with cabins. Swimming Pools, Redon has a large new indoor
pool which is great fun for all the family, Peillac
has an outdoor pool open in the summer with a crazy
golf course next door and opposite a very good restaurant. Swimming Lake with a lovely sandy area and picnic
tables.
Places to visit.. Tropical Park, where children can feed
the animals, prehistoric park with cafe and picnic area. Glass Factory watching all types of glass and
glass objects being made
Yves Rocher botanical garden and végétarium,
you can also visit the factory where the parfume &
beauty products are made. Walking and cycling for many miles along side
rivers and the Nantes & Brest canal without going
on to any roads. Riding Stables there are 2 or 3 available close
by. Rock climbing and abseiling available for the
not so feint hearted Fishing it goes without saying that this area
as is most of Brittany well known for its fishing on
lakes and rivers from Zander to Trout. Golf Courses close by
20 minutes to 1 hour away..
Many beautiful coastlines from miles of sandy beaches
to small coves, ancient walled towns Vannes being theone
not to miss. Boat Trip around the gulf de Morbihan stopping
off at one of the islands.
Many Châteaux & Manoirs, museums, animal parks,
adventure trails, treetop acrobatic park (for the brave)
marshland reserves for birdwatching, equestrian shows,
prehistoric magaliths to name but a few things to do.
Did I say "a relaxing holiday"? well it is
your choice to do or not to do.
June, July & August there are lots of fetes
& festivals, too many to name, from food to music,
some of which should not be missed, brochures for these
will be left int he gite for you. Remember to keep an
eye out along the roadsides where you can see adverts
for other fetes or festivals coming up!
